- A copper coloured sky denotes rain. A rust coloured sky is a sign of fine weather. A wind blowing from a westerly piont is a sign of rain. A wind from the east is a sign of dry harsh weather, and when it blows from the north we are sure to have very cold weather and in winter snow. A dark red when the sun is setting is a sign of fine weather. A deep yellow is the sign of bad weather. When the clouds are scudding quickly across the sky is the sign of rain. A near cercle around the moon is a sign of bad weather. When the sun is a watery colour it is a sign of bad weather.
