  1. There is a place near Drogheda called Gormanstown. When Cromwell was taking all the rich lands from the Irish he made his way to Gormanstown Castle. As he marched from the station he gave orders to his soldiers not to stop until they reached the castle. All went well until suddenly they had to stop at a river. Ha ha he said we had to stop." From that day to this the river is called the Ha Ha.
