  1. There used to be a little shop at Kelly's Hill, but it is no longer there now. The people got their tea, sugar, bread, butter, and other things. The people did not sell on New Year's Day because it was considered unlucky.
    The people didn't buy after Mass. The market was always held in Drogheda.
    Long ago people used to go around selling laces & religious objects in baskets. There is a man called "Larry the Rag" & he goes
