  1. The local fairs are held in Dunleer, Drogheda & Dundalk.
The horse fairs are held in Drogheda on the 12th May and on the 17th May in Dundalk.
I heard from my G. Aunt that she remembers fairs to be held at a cross-roads down at Cappóg near Dunleer.
It is not held now. Fairs were held formerly but they are discontinued, now. I don't know the reason why. There are no local traditions about fairs held on a hill or in the neighbourhood of castles or forts
The fair is always held in the street of Dunleer, but in Drogheda & Dundalk there is a special place for them.
