When the cow is back-chewing she is giving the milk better. - The names of cows in our place are, Young Blue, Old Blue, Old Pigion, & Whitey, & when I call them I say "suck suck". We have five calves.
The cow house is built with stone, & a galvanised roof, & when we are tying them we put a chain round their necks. We have four horses, & their names are, Dolly,(continues on next page)- Collector
