    old people say that if you don't take it down next morning you will get it very hard to get one the next day.
    Halloween
    On Halloween we play a lot of games, & on that night we duck for apples, & for money. This is the way it is done. Get a full dish of water and put a penny or anything you like in it and then dip your head in the water, and if you take the penny out you can keep it.
    Little Christmas
    On little Xmas we make a pudding in honour of it. Some people make three puddings at Xmas & keep one for New Year's Day.
    On Christmas Eve the Christmas candle is lit by the youngest child in the house and put beside
