They used to make boots from calf skin, and tan it themselves.
There are a lot of shoemakers in the district, and some of them make boots as well as repair them. Their fathers were shoemakers before them, and their names are Gaynor & Campbell.
There are Gaynors in Dunleer, Ardee, & Drogheda.
