If crows are seen to glide along and then swoop down suddenly it is a sign of rain. Some birds, such as curlews and peacocks utter a peculiar loud cry when rain threatens. The flys attack the cattle when rain is coming. The North Wind brings snow in Winter. When the wind blows from the East it is not good for man or beast. If the Sun is hazy it is a sign of rain. If there is a circle around the moon it is a sign of rain. The nearer the circle the nearer the rain. The south wind brings most rain to this district.
