  1. The Mass Rock
    12th 11-31
About a mile from this school there is a big rock and it is known among the people of the neighbourhood as "the mass rock". It is said that long, long ago in the penal times a priest used to say mass there and the rock was his altar.
There was a slight hollow in the centre of the rock, and it is said that it was in this hollow the priest used to stand the chalice.
The place where the rock is situated is called the Long Woman's Grave it is a bleak lonely spot between two mountains on the out-skirts of Omeath.
