There were other shops around too.They were Margaret Keane near the smith Reidy's forge, Seán peader ,south of Connolly church.They sold tea ,sugar,american, meat ,soda salt,sweets,and cakes ,apples and oranges.The old people used buy with money ,but the youngsters used steal eggs,turf and potatoes and give them for sweets(continues on next page)- Collector
