  1. Ink
    A cure for ringworm. The person afflicted writes his or her name round the ringworm.
    Elm bark
    A cure for hives, boils, and pimples. Boil the bark for two hours with enough water to cover; strain and bottle, take one glass in the morning fasting.
    Butter milk
    A cure for a cold. It is taken when fresh with a pinch if sugar in it
    Bread soda, and paraffin-oil. A cure for a burn. Mix the bread soda and paraffin-oil together and apply to the burn.
