  1. The local Landlord that was in Ballymacegan long ago was Sadler Stoney. Stoney was a leader of the Royalists. He was a bad Land Lord. He put out many people on the road. He swore he would never allow a catholic on his land and that he would only give his work men a shilling a day. He had many tenants and he brought in many English planters. More than any other Land Lord. The people had to go to America.
    Stoney owned Derry Lahan one time and he exchanged it with Head for Portland. Stoney was very hard on his Tenants. They
