    "Friars Field"
When St. Brigid was travelling from Rockhill to Ardpatrick she stayed for a time in a place called the "Friars Field" which is about a half-mile from Kilmallock. The remains of an old building or church is still to be seen. There is a wall in the field also, which is known as St Brigids well.
