    Maurice Cleary is the local smith and whenever he finishes a small job for which he knows he'll get nothing he anticipates the customer by saying "wisha, the Lord spare you the health Maurice".
    One day an old woman brought Maurice a scissors to tighten the screw in it. He put it in the vice to hold it steady. When the old woman saw him doing this she said "Be careful Maurice or it will fly" but Maurice said "No fear Mam because I'll cut the wings off it".
    Another day Maurice was nailing up a shoe and a youngfellow saw the nail coming out at the side
