  1. An old Anglesboro man was working in a field when the North Cork Militia were marching on to Wexford.
    His rebel blood got up; he weilded his spade and cried out against them. He was arrested and most likely would be murdered on the spot were it not for the diplomacy of his wife who invited the soldiers in to her dairy and gave them milk and cream.
    They held on to their prisoner however and marched him to Hugh Massey (the local landlord)
