    Parson Delmedge was Landlord in Rour Mor. He lived in a place called Rawbranna, Croom. He treated his tenants very badly. In bad times he raised their rent and showed them no mercy. My father James Normoyle and my two uncles Pat and John, mowed hay with scythes for him during the season to try and pay the unreasonable rent he had laid on the poor lands of Rour. Mowing hay with scythes is supposed to be the hardest task a man could do. What made it still worse for them, the bad food he gave them,
