  1. There are no forts to be seen in this side of the Parish or at least around the school district. At the north side of the Parish there are some fairy forts of which one is notable It is situated in John Danaher's land of Temple Athea.
    We are told in olden times there used to be a great dance held in it and that several people used be taken out of their bed at night by friends of theirs who had been dead and kept dancing all night and returned" safely home before day.
    We are told of a man named Hartnett who had been crossing by Danahers fort late at night and meeting with a large crowd he recognised a great friend
