  1. The people say that gold is hidden beneath a tree near the Blessed well that is at the gate of the grave-yard in the parish of Athea and County Limerick. It is also said that if you dream of it three times you are sure to get it. Several people dreamt at night of it three times and at night they went to dig it up but as soon as they started digging they were hunted away by the roaring of a bull and also the noise of the sea coming towards them.
    They had not the courage to stay digging and it is supposed that it is there yet as any late attempts were not made to dig it up.
