  1. One day the robin was flying around Calvary. It was on Good Friday and the Jews were nailing Our Saviour to the cross. When they went away the robin came up to Our Saviour and tried to pull out the nails. While he was doing so, a drop of Our Lord's blood dropped on the robin's breast and that is how the robin got its red breast.
