A cure for sore-throat is a gargle of salt and water and to drink this remedy. It is said that carigeen moss is a good cure for cold's. Dock-leaves is a cure for nettle-sting. To take a splinter from the finger place a bottle filled with hot water and place the finger to the neck of the bottle then the steam will draw out the splinter.
