- There was a great number of famous athletes long ago. The only people around I know of are the Bresnahans of Castletown Conyers. Con Bresnahan was able to throw the half hundred 28 ft. It is said that he strained himself as he died a young man. His brother was a great runner and jumper. He is now the teacher in Castletown Conyers.
