    My district is in the townland of Gortmore and in the Barney of Duhallow. There are about forty-three families in the townland of Gortmore. There are about one hundred and sixty people in the townland. Murphy is the most common name in the townland. Some houses are slate others thatch others tiles and others sheetiron. There was a field in the townland called Gotmore thats how the townland got its name Old people live in the district they dont know Irish but they tell stories in English. Those are the names of the following old people.
