There is a stone in Glountaingun and there is a hand on it and writing over the hand. The writing is indistinct. Many people came during the summer to try to find out the meaning of the writing.
- There is a line of stones running from lower Kilcullen through Kilmartrin Meenachoney lower Goulane upper Goulane and through several townland in the next Parish.
There are two in Kilmartin three in Glountawnagun two standing and one fallen. There is the shape of a man's foot and a bayonet on the falled(continues on next page) - Collector
