  1. There are certain times of the year that people can not get married. It is the custom in our district that no one can get married in Lent. June is a lucky month. It is a custom that the father or the son come to ask for the girl. Then if he succeeds they arrange for the supper. The supper is in the girls house. Then they arrange for the wedding. The evening of the marriage the man goes for the girl to her house. She is given away by her father or brother. Some times they go away on their honeymoon
