  1. There are two forges in this parish. One of them belongs to Mr Hegarty and the other belongs to Mr Hayes. Mr Hegartys father and grand-father were smiths before him. Mr Hayes father were no smith. Mr Hegartys forge is situated in the townland of Ballyourane near Ballyourane cross and near Glounapuea river. Mr Haye's forge is situated in Killeenleigh near Caheragh cross and there is a stream running near it. Mr Hegarty's forge is covered with oil-cloth.
    Mr Haye's forge is covered with slate. Mr Hegarty's door is a square timer door with a horse-shoe over it. The door is the same in Mr
