    Food in olden times.
    Long ago, the country people used to eat three meals each day. In the morning the breakfast was eaten. The breakfast consisted of oaten stirabout and milk. At about one o'clock, the dinner was eaten and it consisted of potatoes and buttermilk.
    At eight o'clock at night the supper was eaten, which was usually oaten or wheaten bread and milk. Some people used to work for two hours before their breakfast. Usually, the father and mother of a family sat at the table to eat, but, their children
