    High in mid air it is standing

    'Tis a proof that the sons of Slieve Bawn,
    Live in peace and harmony.
    And the fame of those who built it
    In our memory will keep green.
    It was engineered by Fannon,
    And built by Ryan and Green.
    Joe Fallon and young Murphy
    They did their work so grand,
    Joe Fallon he was treasurer,
    And Tom Murphy gave free land.
    And the young and old assisted
    You could see them there at dawn,
    Till they finished that grand emblem
    On the hill of old Sheeaun.
