  1. There are only two very old graveyards in this locality. One is situated in Kilruddane and the other in Kilruane. The graveyards got their names from Irish saints who lived there. The ruins of the church in Kilruane are still to be seen, but there is no trace of the church in Kilruddane to be seen now. It is believed locally that the two churches were destroyed during the Penal times. Kilruddane graveyard which is situated in this school district is built on a height sloping to the east. There were trees growing there until recently but now they are being cut own by degrees. Kilruane graveyard which is near Lisacul is circular in shape. In ancient times people were buried (there) round those two churches and in that way the graveyards were formed. Those graveyards are still
