  1. There were two ladies living in a house one time and they had a lot of money.
    A tramp who was going about heard of this, so he made up his min to steal it.
    One night when the girls were in bed, the tramp came and tried to break in to the house. He failed to enter by either doors or windows, so then he thought of a plan and went down the chimney.
    When he got half way down he was stuck fast, as it was one of the old fashioned chimneys with a stick across to which a long chain was fastened for hanging pots.
