  1. About four hundred yards from this school the river Boyle flows. Beside this river where a grave was being made for a a dead beast a beautiful bronze sword was found. The sword was given by our teacher Mr. Glynn to an Antiquarian in Dublin who prized old swords and axes dearly. Eventually it will find its way to the Museum and will be one of the best of the National Collection.
