- A cure for a cold is to boil some butter milk, Put a pinch of pepper and a bit of butter into it. This is to be drank before going to bed,
- Mrs. Coyne, Garroon, Mountmellick, Laoighis, by saying certain prayers is able to cure warts. Then the person who has the wart goes into the Church once a day and makes the sign of the cross on the wart with holy water. After some time the wart dissappears.
