    harp, and sometimes the young boys and girls have a party in honour of St. Patrick.
    The old people on St. Patrick's night have a dance as they say it is not right without to "wet" the shamrock.
    Easter Sunday
    On Easter Sunday the people would eat more eggs than they usually eat, and the boys have parties in honour of Easter.
    Whit Sunday
    On Whit Sunday the old people say that it is dangerous to go near any water that a teaspoonful would drown you.
    St. John's night
    On St. John's night the boys and girls light a fire of turf and throw a bone into it.
    Then they have singing and dancing till after ten o'Clock, then when they are coming home each person brings a coal and throws it into their own tillage field in order to have a lucky crop.

    on St. Swithin's day the people would pray that it would not
