    The people in District of Tullogher have always been prejudiced against the people of Glenmore and vice versa; this prejudice existed in the past and even at the present day.
    It used to be a boast with people to say:-
    "I always had enough to eat".
    This dread of hunger was in the Irish people since the Famine Years especially '47 and no wonder.
    Witness the following Rann made by Glenmore district against Tullogher:-
    "White cabbage and bacon in Glenmore today,
    But Tullogher must sell it, the rent for to pay"
