  1. There was once a little school situated in my native townland of Ballincur just beside my home about five minutes walk from the railway line. The teacher's name was David Kehoe and the place is called after him-- "Davids Lough." It is about seventy years since the school was in existence. The subjects that he taught were mostly prayers and Catechism. The people that were going to him paid him two or three pence per week.
