  1. We have a churn at home. It is about three and a quarter ft in height. The top of it is wider than the bottom. It is about 6 yrs old.
    The different parts are, the Churn, the Staff, the Lid and the Cop. There is a small groove on the side of the lid.
    There are four hoops on it. We churn twice a week in Summer and once a week in Winter. Everyone who comes in while you are churning has to take a brash, for fear they would take the Butter away with them.
    There are Dash Churns and Barrel Churns. We pour boiling water into the milk in Winter, to bring it to a certain heat.
