    A cloth cloak with a cape and a white lace bonnet was the usual suit the bride used to wear when getting married. Always the bride should borrow a garment from another girl and wear it on the day of her marriage.
    When the bride would be going out the door of her own house to get married her mother should hit her with an old shoe for luck.
