  1. Long ago the Milesians and the Tuatha Dé Dananns had a fight. The Milesians won this battle, and lighted May-bushes were set up in honour of those people. The Tuatha Dé Dananns had a magician, at the head of their army.
    One day the Milesians were going to have a fight, and the magician was ready to give the signal untill the fight begin. Just as the fight was going to begin, a lighting bush separated the two armies and the King of Milesians was saved.
    Every May Day since this a big fire is made, exactly in the same place where the first May bush
