  1. The animals we have at home are cows, horses, pigs, dogs, cats, hens, ducks and turkeys. We keep the horses inside at night during the winter and spring. We feed them with oats, turnips, mangels, potatoes and hay. We tie the horses with halters. The place where the horse's food is put is called a manger. We leave the horses out at night in the Summer. We whistle for the horses when we want to bring them. We put in the cows in November and we give them hay, and straw, mangels, turnips and potatoes.
