    go beneath the forts and mountains and at night they would come out on their white horses.
    In Ross here are two forts and in Rosmore there are two. In Lisnagale there is a fort and it was from it that the townland got its name.
    In the side of one, on Mr Nangles land there is a hole. A calf went into the hole and never came out again.
    There was a man who was very poor and had little land. One Spring when he was tilling his land he said he would plough the fort.
    He started ploughing early one morning and when he was ploughing a voice said. "Please do not destroy my home or I shall die". Being kind he did not
