    Never get on the other road, when suddenly the place was all lit up and she could hear a great noise like as if a lot of people were shouting in the Rocks. 'The Rocks' is a field beside the lane which is full of large rocks. The brightness and shouting continued until she was out on the other road, when it became dark and silent again.
    There is a fort in a field off the avenue and it is said to be haunted. Anyone watching it at midnight would see lights moving about inside, and would hear a low chanting noise. From my bedroom window you can sometimes see light in the it through the woods. This field is called the 'Fort Field'. I myself have seen the lights from my bedroom window.
