  1. About two hundred yards from the village of Milltown there is a large field known as the "Hospital field". It is called this because there was a hospital built there long ago.
    This hospital was built between the years 1841-43. It was Fr. Quill who was Parish Priest of Milltown ordered this hospital to be built.
    The reason for this hospital was, there a disease raging in the town of Tralee known as "cholera" The sailors who came into Tralee bay, some of them were infected with the disease. The
