   runner than O'Neill and he outwitted the enemy in such a way that he made out the caves without being captured, and when the enemy was not around he would come out for food and drink. It was so cross to get into those caves that time that no body would venture to go down the cliff excepting a person who was well acquainted with the ins and outs of the place. Ever since that time they are called Dunfort's Caves. Years after the people living near by collected together and made a pathway down there for the purpose of getting sea-weed. Coming to the time of the tan war it was a great place for hiding from the enemy and there were beds inside there and all went well that time as there was no danger any informations would be given to the crown forces. But alas! The civil war took a different turn. I don't mean to say that the people of the neighbourhood changed their policy for they always were true Republicans, and sheltered and fed the men on the run in 1923 as they
