    There once was a man who lived at the foot of the hill and his name was OBrien. He was noted for his strength and bravery and he was the leader of the Whiteboys. At this time there came into Limerick city a man who said he would challenge any man in Ireland to fight. OBrien rode on horseback to Limerick to fight this man. The fight started and at the first round he knocked out this man. When he got up he hit OBrien a puck and set him mad. OBrien hit him then and killed him. After this there was a reward of twenty pounds to OBrien.
    There was a man in Clare and he threw a stone which was about a ton weight and it landed in Guhard near Liselton.
    The best footballer around Kerry is supposed to be Johnny Walshe from Ballylongford. The best swimmer around here is supposed to be Maurice Flavin from Sallowglen. The best weight thrower around Ballylongford was Willie Finucane from Asdee. The best jumper around Lenamore is Michael Neville.
