  1. A piece of unsalted butter is divided into ten parts. Certain prayers are recited one of them being in old Irish. The cure consists of nine of the parts the tenth being kept by the person making the cure.
The butter is then rubbed on the swelling. Three bits at a time in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Ghost.
This is continued each Wednesday morning for three weeks. At the end of this time the swelling reduces and the Erysipelas disappears.
