    Hallow Eve falls on the 31th. October. There is a number of customs carried out on that night such as, get a mirror and an apple go out to a byre put the apple on the mirror then start combing if you are to be married it is said that your intended will come and eat the apple.
    Get a red apple, stick nine pins in it, put it under your pillow and you will dream of your intended. Get a withered cabbage leaf, put it over your door, and the first man or woman who passes under it, will
