    Measles. Go under a briar 3 times each day and say one Pater one Ave and one Gloria.
    Colic. Hit the animal 3 times with your cap and say 3 Paters 3 Aves and 3 Glorias in honour of the saint that takes away the colic.
    Worms. Put 3 green sods before sunrise and rub them to the nose of the person. While rubbing the sods say:- "I rub these sods on the nose, for St Patrick to banish all snakes and serpents out of the world and to banish worms out of mankind, in the name of the Father, etc. .
    Warts. Get a small sup of lamp oil and put it in an egg-stand. Get a small potato and cut it into small slices. Put the milk from a dandelion on the slices and then pour the lamp oil on the slices. Rub the slices to the warts.
    Rheumatism. Mix river water, lamp oil, pepper and the juices of a lemon together and rub to the affected part.
    Dirty Mouth. Get 3 hairs from the head of a person that never saw its father and rub to the mouth.
    Back Ache: A person born with the hip or feet first, has the cure of the backache. Let the
