  1. Long ago the people used to get the rods and peel them, and put then in a pot and boil them and then when they took them up they made baskets out of them, these baskets were called white baskets.
    There are men who can make them yet, the rods that were put in for handles were not peeled they were plaited together and made handles out of.
    These baskets were used for carrying eggs and for other things as well.
