    the land poor. Nettles are a great blood purifier, also dandelion. Dandelion tea cures bronchitis and other diseases. Meacan na gcaorach cures mumps, and a very good cough cure can also be made by boiling the roots.
    Young nettles and dandelion leaves are cooked and eaten like cabbage greens. Boglas cures boils and all kinds of open sores. It is mixed with oatmeal and used as a poultice. Garlick boiled and mixed with bad whiskey is a great cure for a cough.
