"Soppers" were always there. They were batches of men dressed in straw dresses, and the captain of them always called for the bride and danced to her; she danced in turn to each of the "soppers".
They danced for a while, and then got refreshments of all kinds as well as the invited guests, and then went home peacefully. They also wore - "something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue."
