A great snow storm occurred in the year 1892.

A great snow storm occurred in the year 1892. It was such a heavy fall of snow that it was as high as the ditches. Trains could not travel because of it. It smothered a lot of sheep. It also smothered a donkey which Biddy Barrett owned. She lived in Newtownsands. A lot of wild birds were smothered in that fall of snow and since then we have no partridge around here.
